My level of customer with relation to the shop

I have never been in any CRM ( Customer Relationship management) or any program, but my relation with that shop i can put as Regular Customer.
They know me by face, and once they see they ask about my days back and life in general.
So i am already stolen by them as i trust what they advise me as i am kind of person/customer who needs informations when the product is unfamiliar or new to me (limited decison making).

I am a Clients, as more than a repeating customers, they can even call me when they have new African things.

People as a Competitive Tools

The shop/company have tried to use different tools to to catch up with the customers.
1.Try to have their awareness through the advertisements and displays on the shop.
2.They find their Interest by showing a good skin looking of a black woman, which really touched me, and made me to look to that shop more hence bacame a customer.
3.They made me evaluate that lotion can make my skin through the words from the seller.
4. They advise customer to try and see the good effects, so i had to try (trial) for the first time hence made me to use it since then by adopting to it..

5.The main thing, is they are working as a Team work, this helps to satisfy the custonmers.

Availability and distribution

That product is available in all small shops which sells African and Asians things.
The shop is just next to tram stop, and there is a parking place about 300metres from the shop.
The channel they used is:
1)Producer-Retailer-Consumer
2)Producer-Agents-Retailers-Consumer

So there is a good channel of distribution, and also the shop is reachable.

It can be called a Selective Distribution- use of only some available outlets to distribute it, as you can not find it in other shops than the Africans and asians shops.

Also other shops i have seen this product, si just next to metro Terminal and Bus Terminal and Tram Terminal, you can see how the shops are arranged to make it nicely available hence you can even do other shoppings as they are other shops nearby.

Pricing decisions vs martketing vs companies(7)

My product is a body lotion, so the price decision which affects this company is the Buyers Perceptions.
Because they are so many body lotions, so they have to put the price which buyers can afford so that to get their attention.
I can also say, they used a Penetration pricing (setting a price low the price of competing brands in order to penetrate a market and produce a larger unit sales volume).
So by using the lowest price and Buyers Perceptions, it touched me as at first i knew if its not good for my skin, i have not loose much.

6.Marketing Communication


The Company of this cocoa Butter Body lotion, have been advertising the lotion buy showing the pictures of black girls like me, which they are using and how they are looking natural by that.
The girls have been saying, they dont get burn by sun lights, and dont sweat as well as look dry while oily to their skin.
It really affects me, and when you see the babies pictures how they smile when mother applying to them, i direct decided that this product will be for my family.

So, the measured they used by showing a black colour beautiful girl, not bleached looked natural, it reaaly reached me and affect me, that i should use that if i want to remain natural with my skin colour.


They used Persnal Selling ,the internet and Advertisement, to catch up the customers as a Promotional Mix.


The levels of the product i love.(no.5)







1.Augmented product: (support of the product)
The body cream, states that it made to make the skin natural and doesnt have mercuries or other ingredients which bleaches or affect the skin. And restrict to buy the one orginal within usage time not beyond expiring time, hence if it affects you they will care for effects if not combines used with other things.

2.Actual: (a composite of the features and all sorts in it)
The name cocoa butter cream, makes its brand name to sound attractive and something good.
Its also in quality as you know cocoa is the very good thing to skin and body.
It is packed in a way that not easy to break, and nice light colours in its container.

3.Core: The benefit or service
I am benefiting from it, as its so big and hence stays for long time, so am sure of using orginal thing at a long times, as well as i feel my skin so good, not need powders or extra body creams. I can use just with normal bathing soaps.












Targetting Strategy


I am using, Cocoa butter body lotion named Cream of Crop.Its having good smell, and its so natural, i can say may the smell made me to buy it.
And this Cocoa butter makes me in Concentrated stategy, just as woman things not muchly to men.
This Company is also having other products, such as liquid oils for babies, and also they have other body cream for Cowboys/girls,fisherman's catch, and other cream from different ingredients but mostly natural ones.


me, myself, and I, as a consumer in Marketing

They are so many things describe me as a consumer and how its hard to enter into marketing, and also you can relate that with other consumers how they affect or make marketing harder.
a)Personal: Sometimes i want to go to buy the advertised product, but i dont have transport by that time, or my husband is not there to take me, so you find, the product is advertised but the problem is me to go and buy while the message delivered and touched me.
Also the family, i like to buy certain colour, but my family is against that coulour, and sometimes they are so many expenses by that time, so i can not buy extra things.
b)Psychological: Somtimes i dont believe on certain thing, hence i have to start to figure and imagine, can it really make it, hence ending on not buying.
c)Social: Some things are not on my culture or class, so i find so hard to buy, although well advertised, as i still want to keep my culture well,or maintain my class as me as i have been.

So from here you can see, that some influences really hinders this process of marketing, hence we need it as a consumer.

Factors affecting Marketing

I would like to take an example of Studio Company, and try to show how the factors(Micro and Macro Environment affects it in its activitis.The Studio is dealing with Audio and Video Recording and Editing in Tanzania.

Macro:
a)Political:Examples, its customer are going to sing a song to favour one opposition part, its difficult for a studio as it can lead to licence cancellation, hence is in missing of that income.
b)Legal forces: There are so many laws that influence the marketing decisions of this studio like, forbiden of some words in songs and some types of shooting.
c)Regulatory forces: The municipalities are blocking it in a way that, they have so many rules, about the area of its location and neighbourhood.
d)Societal/green: The place where studio is located is near to houses, so it is not free to work at nights as its customers like to relax outside after recording hence creates noises to its neighbours. Also any rubbish found it is said from the customers at night.
e)Technical: day to day, more technical equipments comes, hence makes the costs of equipment to be rising most of times.
f)Economic & Competitive: Due to low economy, the workers are looking for high salaries, hence makes to pay the high salaries so they could stay working there.

Micro:
a)The business: Business is growing, and its having a good name as it is among the first studios in tanzania and the owner is so familiar with that field as well he practised and helped many.
b)Suppliers and Buyers: Supplies are going high day to day on products, and you cant get product at a neded time, it takes time. The buyers of the Studio outcomes, mostly they pay after a time, they dont pay direct.Hence makes the income unstable.
c)Marketing Intermediaties: The ones who market the studuio, some times they mislead the customers so that they could gain, and hence people/customer to find its hard, until they meet the studio and know really charges.
d)Competitors: they are so many studios growing now, some they do make jobs in credits, and some are having new facilities, so its really a competition in that field.
e)Publics: Public still take music is a spoil thing, so they dont give support to their kids or to buy the outcome, so that these could earn money.

This is what i can give you, a view on how these factors affect the business and marketing.

Without marketing

To me, without marketing:
1.Many people would not be aware of many products.
2.No competition, as who could put the advert and say the changes and better from his/her product/service from the others.
3.Less job opportunities, as no advertisements, researches,promotions.
4.Have you imagine, no colours on advertised goods, and hence just dull place.
5.Things from developed world could not reach faster to developing and undeveloping countries.

How could you also face the world without marketing?

As for me i took marketing is an important method in the world. When i imagine the world or a country or a community without marketing, how it could be.
